Tripura Election 2018 Date, Schedule: The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for Tripura assembly elections 2018. Along with Tripura, schedule of Meghalaya,and Nagaland assembly elections will also be announced today. The five-year assembly terms of Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura legislative assemblies are ending on March 6, March 13 and March 14 respectively. The strength of the three assemblies is 60 members each.
Here are the updates on Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura election 2018:
12.20 pm: Tripura: Date of polling – 18th February. Counting 3rd March.
12.17 pm: Meghalaya: Date of polling – 27th February. Nominations: 7th February. Scrutiny: 8th February, Last date for withdrawal: 12 February, Counting 3rd March.
12.15 pm: Nagaland election schedule: Date of polling – 27th February. Nominations: 7th February. Scrutiny: 8th February, Last date for withdrawal: 12 February, Counting 3rd March.
12.13 pm: Model code of conduct comes into effect from today: CEC AK Joti in Delhi on Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura legislative assembly elections
12.10 pm: Election Commission of India says that all the parties have to follow instructions related to use of media and social media.
12.08 pm: Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura all have 60 seats each. EVM and VVPAT will be used in all three states, first level checks have been completed : CEC AK Joti in Delhi
12.04 pm: VVPAT to be installed, says Election Commissioner AK Joti.
12.01 pm: EC announces dates for the elections.
