Hitting back at Bharatiya Janata Party over targeting Mamata Banerjee on Burdwan blast, Trinamool Congress on Sunday alleged that a “devious master gameplan” plotted at the RSS headquarters is being executed by the ruling party at the Centre even as it dubbed NSA Ajit Doval as a “known RSS sympathiser”.
“Jaitleyji do what you want but TMC doesn’t need lessons on nationalistic ideas,” said TMC leader Derek O’Brien.
He was responding to Jaitley’s latest Facebook post in which the senior BJP leader said that the West Bengal police or the other intelligence agencies have no substantive material to establish that the Burdwan blast was stage- managed. He also said such allegations are “neither responsible nor nationalistic”.
Banerjee had alleged that the Burdwan blast was “stage-managed” by the Centre.
O’Brien also alleged that National Security Advisor Doval “is a known RSS sympathiser” and all the developments were part of a “larger devious” plan that is being “conceived, drafted and plotted at the RSS headquarters.”
Rubbishing the charge, BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli said TMC’s accusations cannot work as a defence for it. “The fact of the matter is that the Burdwan blast did take place. The west Bengal police did not look inclined for a fast and effective investigation. The West Bengal government preferred that NIA should not come in. Cross border links seem to be very, very clear.”
On Jaitley’s remarks that he was “deeply disappointed” with Banerjee’s reaction to the interrogation and arrest of some of her party leaders in the Saradha chit fund scam, O’Brien said that the saffron party did not have the right to question the CM as it was thriving on black money.
“This is all part of a larger devious BJP master game plan. PM used this narrative throughout his rallies. If nation knows how much black money is spent by BJP, they will become a blacklisted party,” he said.
