Mumbai rains: Soon after he tweeted the pic, a number of users started retweeting and liking it.
It was not an easy day at all for Mumbaikars as heavy rains lashed maximum city on Tuesday. Amidst the heavy downpour, Anand Mahindra, the Executive Chairman of Mahindra Group, tweeted a pic with a satirical take on Mumbai rains. Soon after he tweeted the pic, a number of users started retweeting and liking it. Taking to Twitter, Anand Mahindra wrote, “Had tweeted this pic in May when the monsoon hit early.Hope this guy’s doing the rounds in Mumbai today.He’ll have a zillion customers..” Normal life has been paralysed in Mumbai and adjoining areas since last night, with road, rail and air services being badly affected due to heavy showers.

Prime Narendra Modi spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on the situation arising due to incessant rains in Mumbai and adjoining areas and promised all possible support from the Centre. Spoke to Maharashtra CM @Dev_Fadnavis on the situation arising due to incessant rain in Mumbai & surrounding areas,” Modi tweeted. “Centre assures all possible support to the government of Maharashtra in mitigating the situation due to heavy rains in parts of the state,” he added.
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted more rainfall over the next 24 and even 48 hours.
