It is nothing short of great news for this Indian expat living in Dubai! Harikrishnan V Nair’s luck took a spectacular turn as he won the Dubai raffle draw and hit the jackpot of 12 million United Arab Emirates dirham! It will be safe to say that the New Year is indeed happy for this Indian in UAE. AED 12 million will is equivalent to around Rs 20 crore. As per today’s exchange rate, AED12 million will be approximately equal to Rs 20,67,27,018.
Nair won the AED 12 million in the latest Big Ticket raffle draw in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. Harikrishnan Nair is an Indian resident of UAE. The draw was held at Abu Dhabi International Airport and his winning ticket number is 086828.
The man’s reaction was as amazing as his win! “Is it true? I cannot believe it,” said Harikrishnan. The Big Ticket ‘Dream 12’ competition ran in December last year.
Not just Nair, other Indian expats too received some good news of their own. There were four more Indians on the list of winners. Minor Harkeerat Kaur won AED 90,000 and secured the third prize. Rajesh Kumar Sharma won the fourth spot and won AED 80,000. Abhilash Sasi and Anil Thalakkale Veettil won fifth and sixth spot respectively winning AED 70,000 and AED 80,000.
Apart from the grand prize, six more draws totalling AED 450,000 were up for grabs.
Tickets to the Big Ticket Abu Dhabi can be purchased online or at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain Duty-Free or City Terminal Abu Dhabi. Tickets cost AED 500 and anyone who buys two tickets will have to pay for one ticket under their buy-one-get-one-free scheme.
