When there is a political outfit, then disagreements and clashes are bound to occur and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is no exception. Madhya Pradesh, a state administered by the BJP since 2004, is already witnessing a rift in the party unit’s senior leadership.
Kailash Vijayvargiya a senior and one of the most powerful leaders in the party unit has come out openly in criticism of the Shivraj Singh Chauhan led government in the state.
In an interview to a local television channel on Monday, Vijayvargiya warned by saying that the “ills that come with power are slowly becoming apparent… if we are not careful, we may find the going tough in the next elections.
Corruption was always there, but in the first 10 years of BJP rule, it was under control. However, it is now rampant at lower level… The bureaucrats don’t respect (party) workers. Some workers complain to me when I am in Delhi, but not everyone can come to Delhi.”
The rift became visible to public eye when on September 3, the outspoken leader tweeted about the delay in arriving at a decision regarding the metro service that was promised to the people of Indore.

It should be noted that Vijayvargiya is a powerful MLA who was once in the running for the CM’s post.
