Some terrorists have hurled grenades at Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in Jammu & Kashmir’s Soura district. No casualties have been reported in the attack. Soura has also seen some of the worst violent protests following the death of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani. The attack comes days after the deadly attack at an army base camp in Uri which left 18 Jawans martyred and sparked fresh tension between India and Pakistan.

As per the officials, the incident was reported around 7:30 PM when a grenade was hurled at the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) company location. The grenade didn’t hit anyone and landed about 15 metres from the first sentry post. “The grenade blast did not hit any personnel present in the post which is surrounded by the residential area. Police and SSB reinforcements have rushed to the spot from Soura,” they said. The camp lodges to the 47th battalion of the force deployed in the area for security duties, they said.
