“Some senior officials stationed in Patna are instructing district officials to slow down the counting process wherever the RJD shows a clear majority, and to immediately declare results wherever the NDA is leading, so that by showing an advantage for the NDA in the results, psychological pressure can be created through the lapdog media. The identities of such officials have been ascertained. They have been warned to mend their ways, failing which they should prepare for every possible harsh punishment,” RJD wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

According to the Election Commission, Bharatiya Janata Party is leading on 5 seats, as Rashtriya Janata Dal leads on 2.

BJP National Spokesperson Guru Prakash has lashed out at Tejashwi Yadav, who is confident of forming a government. He said that it is not someone’s kingdom but it will be decided per the Constitution.

“What will you do? No, it is not for you to decide. Tejashwi Yadav will act according to the Constitution. You are not the ones who decide. Whatever happens within the Rashtriya Janata Dal, you may decide, but how will the country run? How will elections take place? This will be carried out according to the Constitution, not based on your whims. This is not your kingdom, nor your mansion where you call all the shots…,” BJP’s national spokesperson said.

“We are going to win. Thanks to everyone. A change is about to come. We are forming the government,” Tejashwi Yadav told reporters.

According to the Election Commission, postal ballot counting will begin first, and counting of EVMs will start at 8.30 am.

The Election Commission of India has started counting votes to decide the electoral fate of over 2,600 candidates.

Bihar recorded the highest female voter turnout in its history – 71.6 per cent – in 2025 assembly election.

Bihar saw the highest voter turnout in the recently concluded elections since 1951 – at 66.91 per cent – according to the Election Commission.

Security has been heightened at various counting centres in Bihar. The security personnel arrived for their election duty at various places, including Patna, Gayaji and several other places.

“In Bihar, Tejashwi is going to become the Chief Minister; there is no confusion,” Akhilesh Yadav said on Thursday.

Tejashwi Yadav is confident that the Mahagathbandhan will win the election and form the government.

“We are completely confident that we are forming the government with a clear majority…,” he said during the presser.

He added, “We will very comfortably win the election tomorrow. Our workers are at all the counting stations and are alert. If the Administration repeats their 2020 mistake again, or anyone crosses their limit, does something unconstitutional and unfair, and if any official acts on anyone’s orders, then the public will take care of it….”

Tejashwi Yadav, who is the CM face of Mahagathbandhan, held a meeting with party members on guidelines related to vote counting and preparations for the counting process.

According to data available on the Election Commission of India (ECI), Tejashwi Yadav, the MGB CM face has 22 cases against him. The 36-year-old is an 8th pass.

From Raghopur, it is Tejashwi Yadav vs Satish Kumar. Both have won from this seat, with Tejashwi winning twice in 2015 and 2020 and Satish winning once in 2010.
