Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha was admitted to the Apollo hospital for more than a month of sickness has completely recovered.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, who was admitted to the Apollo hospital, for more than a month, of sickness, has completely recovered. Prathap C. Reddy, Apollo Hospitals Chairman, addressed the media on Friday and said that the Chief Minister has fully recovered and understood everything that was going around her. Speaking to reporters following the release of the Apollo Hospitals Text Book on Medicine, Reddy said that Amma was completely aware of everything happening around her.
He said that Amma has begun to ask and demand whatever she wants. He further told reporters that everyone knows her nature very weel. She controls the doctors and the nurses, he added. He said that Jayalalithaa understood herself very well and they were all happy to inform the people that Amma was doing well. On being asked about when Amma could be going back home, he said that going home had become a small matter as the decision is to be taken by her. He said that the most important part of her treatment was that it was finally over and was very successful.
Reddy also expressed his happiness at the fact that the teamwork of the Apollo’s staff; the doctors, nurse and others, coupled with the expert advice from the foreign doctors had yielded results and Amma was finally well. He also went on to attribute Jayalalithaa’s recovery to the prayers of millions of her admirers. This was the very first time that the Apollo chief was interacting with the media since AIDMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was admitted to the hospital on September 22.
