After having suffered a prolonged illness and hospitalised in Chennai’s Apollo Hospital, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalitha has suffered a cardiac arrest as per statement released by the hospital. The illness of Jayalalitha had kept her hospitalised for more than 70 days during which, residents of the state irrespective of socio economic status had poured in wishes for her quick and healthy recovery.
At the moment her health is under constant monitor of experts of the highest levels. Eminent politicians and thinkers have expressed concern on the news of her sudden cardiac arrest on social media. Railway minister Suresh Prabhu was one of the first to react on twitter.
