President Mamnoon Hussain has said Pakistan is ready o have talks with India on all issues, but added that this dialogue has take place on an equal footing.
Addressing a joint session of Parliament on Thursday, President Hussain said all issues, including the Kashmir dispute can only be resolved if both nations arrived at an acceptable understanding on the way forward without compromising each other’s stated positions.
“We believe dialogue can be held between the two countries on issues, including water,” the Express Tribune quoted him, a saying.
Referring to the proposed China-Pakistan Economic corridor, on which India has expressed concern, President Hussain said Pakistan will work hard to complete the project.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the three service chiefs-Army chief General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Zakaullah and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman-were all present.
