External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who was admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi on Monday is reportedly suffering from a kidney failure.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who was admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi on Monday is reportedly suffering from a kidney failure. Swaraj informed the public of her health through social networking site Twitter and said that she was undergoing tests and under a process of dialysis. Earlier it was reported that Swaraj had been admitted to AIIMS on November 7 and was going through certain endocrinological tests.
Swaraj is admitted at the cardio-neuro centre under the supervision of Balram Airan, Chief of the Cardio Thoracic Centre. Earlier, the 64-year-old BJP leader had been admitted to AIIMS in April after she had complained of chest congestion, hospital authorities had said. She had also been also brought to the premiere hospital on October 25 for a “routine” medical check-up.

The AIIMS doctor told reporters that Swaraj is a diabetic patient, which was one of the causes, that hurt her kidneys. Although, she has been reported to be stable. He said that EAM Swaraj’s sugar level remains on a constant high, which is the cause that she was facing severe diabetic problems. Swaraj is one of the key ministers of the Modi cabinet, who has made a name for herself by working out the common folks’ issues via Twitter. Swaraj is a constant presence on Twitter and helps out people whose complaints reach her.
