The Bharatiya Janata Party Haryana chief Subhash Barala addressed media on Wednesday morning where he talked about the allegations against his son, Vikas. While talking to the reporters Barala ensured that an investigation will be done if his son has done anything wrong. He said the police did its enquiry and the arrest was made on its basis. However, the boys were left on the basis of the allegations by Varnika Kundu, Barala said while adding that he later got information that a notice was issued by the police so he texted Vikas who was out of Chandigarh and asked him to be a part of the investigation. Barala told the media that when the police issued a notice earlier, Vikas went to be a part of the investigation and even today, he went there.
He added that neither the party has tried to give a different direction to this investigation nor have they done any sort of politics. “There should be an investigation on the basis of charges,” he said while maintaining that that police is doing everything possible they can in this case. Barala left the conference mid-way to take a call which he said was from his son Vikas who was on his way to a police station in Chandigarh. Minutes after the conference got over, ANI reported that Vikas has arrived at the Sector 26 police station in Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, IAS officer Virender Kundu, father of the victim alleged that he has received several calls from Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala after the incident took place. “I don’t have his number on my phone, but I knew it was him through Truecaller (app). I did not take any of his calls because I knew what he was going to say,” Kundu told The Indian Express on Tuesday. Kundu revealed that he has asked his daughters to be careful for a while and said he is ready to face the consequences.
“Till the time the BJP is in power, they will not forget. This action by me will be taken as an act against the party… I have told my daughters to be careful when they go out… Someone could even slip a drug packet into their purse just to trap them,” he said.
