It is a common notion that as soon as a person crosses the fifty mark they should avoid doing heavy work as their body starts getting older. But there is a saying ‘a person only gets older when s/he thinks that they are aging’. Such is the story of this 68-year-old who has been nicknamed Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Suresh Kumar Suri surely makes people around him wonder if he is really a 68-year’s ‘old man’ or 68- year old ‘young man’. Suri’s six-pack abs and his level of fitness can give a man in his 20s a run for his money. At this age, Suri not only does bodybuilding but is also a gym trainer and gives fitness tips to people who come to his gym.
While talking to ETV, Suri said that there are about 40- 50 members in the gym and added that his main focus is on the abdomen exercises and thighs. When asked that why does he particularly concentrate on these areas Suri said that there are many gyms but not many focus on the abdomen and thigh exercises. Suri idolizes the Rustam-e-Hind Dara Singh.
The 68-year-old is five times National Champion in powerlifting, two-times record holder in Deadlifts and is a five-time Mr. MP, reported ETV. Apart from bodybuilding, Suri also worked at Bajaj Hindusthan (BHL) for 23-years. His diet for past 45 years has been only fruits, reported ETV. Suri has also played a small role with his idol Dara Singh in the movie ‘Rustom’. Suri is sure an inspiration to many and an epitome of the saying, “Stay fit, Live Long.”
