The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is underway in nine states and three Union Territories and all the voters are required to fill the enumeration form, irrespective of the fact that whether they have a voter id card or not. The deadline of Dec 4 is approaching and hence, there is still some clarity that voters are seeking for the exercise. One such query is about the enumeration form.

The booth-level officers (BLOs) are responsible to provide pre-printed Enumeration forms to the existing electors and guide them in filling up the form. The electors will have to file the relevant details in the Enumeration forms and the filled in Enumeration form will be collected by the BLOs during the subsequent visit, according to ECI.

The BLOs will collect the forms and keep one copy of the Enumeration form with him/her and give an acknowledgement of receipt of form on the other copy of Enumeration Form, which is to be retained by the elector.

Can the form be filled online?

Yes. The election commission has given the facility of filling the enumeration form for the SIR online. The Elector can also fill the Enumeration Form online on https://voters.eci.govi.in. An online search facility is available to enable electors to search their details in SIR 2002/2005.

However, their number has to be linked with the voter id card for this, else they first need to fill Form 8 to update their mobile number.

What if a voter does not receive his enumeration form?

According to the procedure laid down by the ECI, every voter’s enumeration form is partially filled and is generated. The Enumeration Form will be made available either through a BLO or it can be accessed from the official website https://voters.eci.gov.in.

However, in case the voter is absent, the form will be handed over to any adult member of your family. An elector can also contact the BLO either over phone using the contact number available in https://www.erolls.tn.gov.in/blo/ in case he/she has not received the Enumeration Form.

Voters can also connect through their respective BLOs through the ‘Book a Call with BLO’ option available in the website https://voters.eci.gov.in
