IIC Technologies Ltd would commence its passenger service (Air Himalays) between Shimla, Kullu, Chandigarh and Dharamsala from June 9

IIC will operate daily flights between Chandigarh and Kullu, Chandigarh and Shimla, Shimla and Gaggal, Gaggal and Shimla and Shimla and Chandigarh.

Urban Development minister Sudhir Sharma will launch the air-service by flagging off a flight from Jubbar Hatti airport near Shimla.

Air services from Shimla airport has been suspended for past 44 months.

Airport Authority of India has spent Rs 32.25 crore to maintain the airport.
