The battle for Chief Ministership and control over the party has intensified between Tamil Nadu-CM designate Sasikala Natarajan and ex-CM O Panneerselvam in the state of Tamil Nadu. While Sasikala has written a letter to Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, seeking appointment to prove majority, Panneerselvam has urged MLAs to support him. Meanwhile, State School Education Minister K Pandiarajan, who is one-time loyalist to Lt. Jayalalithaa, has joined ex-Chief Minister O Panneerselvam's camp. "I am confident all leaders who care about Tamil people will come and join us," O Panneerselvam was quoted as saying by ANI. Panneerselvam further said that he's confident of victory as Amma's spirit is guiding him. Sasikala, in a sharp attack on Panneerselvam, said that Amma is showing to the world "the betrayers of AIADMK. She added that people who think they can separate AIADMK party "that has 1.5 cr people" will only face defeat. Sasikala further said that Amma is with AIADMK and confident that she will leading the party. "Amma is confident that I'll look after AIADMK; Relentless work by Amma has made AIADMK 3rd largest party. Amma is with us now," she said. "Amma has given me 1.5 crore party brothers and sisters. When they are with me, the sinister intentions of many will not harm me," Sasikala said. In her letter to the Tamil Nadu CM, Sasikala also questioned delay in oath ceremony.
