Shivpal Singh Yadav today sweared\u00a0on the 'Gangajal' to claim that Akhilesh Yadav had earlier told him that he would form a new party and fight the upcoming assembly\u00a0election with another political party. "Akhilesh Yadav had told me that he would form another party, he said it to me," Shivpal said during a meeting of the party members while swearing in the name of Ganga water. Earlier, Akhilesh had said he would never form a new party. "People are saying a new party will be formed. Who is forming is a new party? I am not." Akhilesh said that if Mulayam wanted, he would have resigned. "If Netaji asked me for resignation I would have given it," Akhilesh said while breaking down during the meet. However, Shivpal attacked Akhilesh and Ramgopal Yadav. Accusing Ramgopal of not letting Mulayam become the alternative to Narendra Modi as the country's PM, Shivpal also asked Mulayam to take control of Samajwadi Party.
