Taking a dig at the the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP), Mayawati said that the very fact that they are even contemplating the idea of a grand alliance like ‘Mahagathbandhan’ means that they have accepted defeat even before the election started. “There is no question of alliance between BSP and SP” said the BSP chief.

Mayawati accused PM Narendra Modi and said that if he had fullfilled one third of his election promises made during the run up to the Lok Sabha elections in 2014 then they wouldn’t be making drama today like the Congress.

“In upcoming poll,SP’s hopes to return to power will not be fulfilled, no matter how much they try to hide internal rift, people won’t trust” said the former Chief Minister. She further added that Muzaffarnagar riots happened due to collusion between SP and BJP.

Claiming that there is a situation of emergency in the country Mayawati said, “since BJP has come to power, Dalits in the country have been suffering. It is clear that BJP will not get any Dalit votes.”

The former Chief Minister further added that the constituencies where both Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav will contest, they will try to defeat each other.
