Founder of Isha Foundation and yogi Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev lauded Indian Railways for its efforts to spread awareness on saving rivers. Sadhguru in his post, appreciating Indian Railways for its creativity says “IRCT captcha makes users type ‘Save Rivers’. An amazing piece of innovation & a great vehicle to #RallyforRivers. Sadhguru, through his foundation is running a campaign called ‘Rally for Rivers’ which is a nationwide awareness campaign to revive Indian rivers.
During his campaign, Jaggi Vasudev will be riding 7,000 km from Coimbatore and would be covering 16 states with the purpose of creating awareness on rejuvenation of rivers. The rally which was flagged off on September 3rd, 2017 will culminate in Delhi on Gandhi Jayanti ie. 2nd of October. In addition to car rally, there would be 23 main events and a number of awareness campaigns, according to the Sadhguru website. Rally stations include Madurai, Mysuru, Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Mumbai, Bhopal, Indore, Ahmedabad up till Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh and Delhi in North. The Rally till now, has reached Mysore.
The yogi has shared several posts and quotes promoting his Rally for rivers campaign.
Sadhguru website claims that several politicians including vice president Venkaiah Naidu, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Chief Ministers including Yogi Adityanath, Captain Amarinder Singh, Dinesh Sarbananda Sonowal, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Siddaramaiah are supporting the rally. The list also includes union ministers and members of parliament.
