Gurgaon schoolboy murder: Police on Friday arrested the main accused in killing of a 7-year-old boy who was found dead at Gurgaon’s Ryan International School, ANI reports. “Accused is a bus conductor, arrested. He attempted to sexually assault the boy, when boy raised an alarm he killed the boy,” DCP, Gurugram, was quoted as saying by ANI. “Accused had been working here for past 6-8 months. He had gone to use toilet where he saw the boy. He had the knife with him in his pocket,” DCP added. Earlier, police said that they have arrested 10 persons, including a gardener, conductors, and drivers for the murder of a 7-year-old student in Ryan International School. As per a PTI report, the boy was found with his throat slit in a washroom in the school building in Sohna area here around 8.30 am. “We have detained 10 people, including a gardener and drivers and conductors. We have been investigating their role since early morning,” Sumit Kuhar, DCP Crime, Gurgaon said.
As per officials, all 10 suspects are being questioned in connection with the incident, PTI reports. The boy, identified as Pradhuman Thakur, was found lying in a pool of blood in the washroom. “The students alerted the teachers and the school management then informed police, who rushed him to Artemis Hospital. He was declared brought dead by doctors,” Ravinder Kumar, PRO Gurgaon Police, was quoted as saying by PTI. Speaking to PTI, boy’s father Varun Kumar, a quality manager with Orient Craft in Gurgaon, accused the school administration of negligence. “They told me his health deteriorated suddenly. They did not take care of my son. He could have been saved if he had been taken to hospital in time,” he Varun Kumar was quoted as saying. “I dropped him today at around 7:30 a.m. He was happy,” the grieving father added.
