Bhagwat asked Swayamsevaks to reach out to more people by holding as many ‘shakhas’ as possible to create awareness about the organisation’s ideology and vision.u00a0
He dwelt at length on the possible factors behind gradual decline of the country’s glory at a three-day organisational meeting of the RSS which got underway here.
Speakers at theu00a0meetingu00a0called for a role revision for the RSS in the changed milieu for a wider outreach with the advent of the social media so that more and more youth from the internet era get associated with the organisation.u00a0u00a0
They expressed satisfaction at the steadily rising popularity of the organisation with more and more people reposing confidence in its ideology and programmes.
They attributed the growing confidence of people in the RSS to the valuable services rendered by the organisation irrespective of caste and creed in times of crises like the massive floods in Jammu and Kashmir or the earthquake in Bhuj.
The meeting also assessed the performance of each of its Prant units in terms of the number of shakhas held by them and the extent of implementation of the organisation’s programmes in their respective areas, the RSS sources said. u00a0u00a0u00a0
Being held in an RSS-run school campus on the outskirts of the hill town, today’s deliberations were attended by 42 Prant Pracharakas and Sangathan Mantris of RSS affiliates.

RSS functions through 42 Prant units for administrative convenience in organisational matters.
As part of the national level meet a two-day meeting of the central office bearers of the organisation has already been held on July 19-20 followed by a daylong meeting of its regional office bearers yesterday. u00a0
The ongoing meeting which will conclude on July 24 is an annual event of the RSS during which it reviews the efficiency of its cadres and effectiveness of its programmes.
Prominent among those attending the meeting are Sarsnaghachalak Mohan Bhagwat, Sar Karyavah Bhaiyya JI Joshi, Sah Sar Karyavah Suresh Soni, Sah Sar Karyavah Dattatreya Hosbole and Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Manmohan Vaidya.
