Gujarat Poll Result (Official Updates): BJP is set for a historic win in Gujarat, official data on Election Commission website shows. While the counting of votes for a new Assembly started today, most exit polls had earlier pointed to a comfortable majority for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). BJP has not lost an election in Gujarat since 1995. As all eyes are on how the BJP will perform and how many challenges it may face from BJP, here are the latest updates of Gujarat poll results from the official Election Commission website.
BJP has won 2 seats and is leading in 153 seats, as per Election Commission data. AAP and Congress are yet to open account.
BJP is now leading in 154 constituencies with 53.3% vote share. Congress is leading in 18 seats as of 11.37 am. AAP is leading in 6 seats only while independent candidates are leading in 3 seats and Samajwadi Party in 1. In terms of voting percentage, Congress has 26.7% and AAP 12.7% vote share.
BJP is leading in 152 seats with 53.6% vote share. Congress leading in 18 seats as of 11.03 am. AAP is leading in 7 seats only while independent candidates are leading in 4 seats and Samajwadi Party in 1. In terms of voting percentage, Congress has 26.5% and AAP 12.8% vote share.
Official ECI data: BJP leading in 149 seats with 53.6% vote share. Congress leading in 18 seats as of 10.20 am. AAP is leading in 6 seats only while independent candidates are leading in 3 seats and Samajwadi Party in 1. In terms of voting percentage, Congress has 26.7% and AAP 13.1% vote share.

Election Commission Website is yet to share any official data. Altogether 182 counting observers and as many election officials are on duty at the counting centres, and each counting table has a micro-observer, a counting supervisor and a counting assistant. The state Assembly polls were held in two phases, with polling for the first phase in 89 seats held on December 1, and for the remaining 93 seats on December 5. The elections witnessed a turnout of 64.33 per cent, around 4 per cent less than the previous Assembly polls in 2017. Of the 4.9 crore registered voters, only 3.16 crore voted in the 2022 elections.
