Ramjas violence: Gurmehar Kaur, Kargil Martyr’s daughter says, “ready to take bullet for the country just like my father”

Gurmehar Kaur, daughter of Kargil Martyr, on Monday said that she loves her country and is ready to take a bullet for India.

Speaking on the Ramjas College ruckus she said, ?Stones were not pelted on Umar Khalid, he was not even present, stones were pelted on students who were there?

Gurmehar Kaur, daughter of Kargil Martyr, on Monday said that she loves her country and is ready to take a bullet for India. “I will not be scared or be cowed down, my father took a bullet for the country & I am also ready to take a bullet for the country,” she told ANI. Speaking on the Ramjas College ruckus she said, “Stones were not pelted on Umar Khalid, he was not even present, stones were pelted on students who were there”. “Be it ABVP or any other student organization, no one has the right to take law and order in his/her own hands,” she added.

Gurmehar Kaur, daughter of Mandeep Singh started the campaign under #StudentsAgainstABVP. Kaur’s earlier video where she said: “Pakistan did not kill my dad war did”. Reacting to her video former Indian cricketer Virendra Sehwag has commented, “Bat me hai Dum! #BharatJaisiJagahNahi.” Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda also applauded Sehwag’s reply.

Replying to Kaur’s video earlier today, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said a strong army prevents war. ”Asking who is “polluting” her mind, Rijiju took to Twitter saying “India never attacked anyone but a weak India was always invaded”.

Rijiju also pointed out that so many people take shelter in India because they know there is no better place in the world than here. “Some people say they need Freedom in India. Listen to those people taking shelter in India after facing torture in neighboring countries,” he added.
