Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday chaired a meeting for the third consecutive day, to discuss the overall internal security. Senior officers who were part of the meeting were National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Director Intelligence Bureau (DIB) Rajiv Jain, Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) chief Anil Dhasmana.The meetings come in the backdrop of recent violent attacks in the Valley, leading to the deaths of armed forces personnel and creating utter chaos in the state.
Earlier yesterday, Rajnath expressed his displeasure over ‘prolonged’ unrest to Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra and instructed him to work together with the state government in order to restore normalcy there.Chairing a meet with Vohra, Rajnath also discussed the grievous attack by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Krishna Ghati sector, where the bodies of two Indian soldiers were mutilated.
Rajnath stressed on the importance of taking stern action against the ones disturbing the environment.While assuring the Home Minister of bringing things back to normal, the Jammu and Kashmir Governor said he would keep updating the former about the developments taking place in the Valley.

Earlier on Monday, Rajnath reviewed the present security situation in Jammu and Kashmir and the recent Sukma attack with country’s top security officials.
On Monday, two defence personnel were killed, as Pakistan violated ceasefire by opening fire on Border Security Force (BSF) posts in Jammu and Kashmir’s Krishna Ghati sector. In a barbaric act, their bodies were later mutilated by the Pakistan Army.Kashmir Valley has been embroiled in utter chaos and violence after Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani’s was killed by security forces in an encounter in south Kashmir’s Kokernag on 8 July last year.
