This meeting reportedly took place after the Centre’s outreach to the ruling faction of the AIADMK.
BJP’s Tamil Nadu General Secretary Vanathi Srinivasan met CM Edappadi K Palaniswami after a series of raids forced AIADMK to disown V K Sasikala and her nephew TTV Dinakaran. Both the BJP and the AIADMK said that the meet was not political in nature. Multiple sources have told IE that Sasikala had played an important role in opening a ‘cordial’ line between Tamil Nadu CM and the BJP.

The Union Minister cleared schemes worth Rs 1,083 crore in a single day for the southern state. BJP hopes to form an alliance in Tamil Nadu with both factions of AIADMK and Rajinikanth, according to The Indian Express.
