Superstar Rajinikanth family has suggested that they would back him if he decides to enter into Tamil Nadu politics. Speaking to CNN-News 18, superstar’s youngest daughter Soundarya said that there is no doubt that Rajnikanth is the person of the masses. However, she refused to divulge details when or if the actor will actually enter into politics or join another political party  – AIADMK, DMK and BJP are keen to have him in their parties. His son in law actor Dhanush, refrained from speaking of Rajinikanth’s plans either, saying he was also waiting on the decision just like others.

Last month, the superstar had said he would meet his fans in either September or October and may clear all doubts on chances of joining politics. He had also said whenever he takes decision to join politics, he will give answers to all queries – when the time comes. “In September or October I’ll meet my fans. Whenever I’ll decide to enter politics, I’ll answer all questions,” ANI had quoted him as saying.

Earlier in May, actor Kamal Hassan had suggested that given the current political scenario in the state no one should enter politics, “Given the current political scenario in Tamil Nadu, I would say no one should enter politics. Not just Rajinikanth or any other actor. Any rational person will not do that,” he was quoted as saying by Indian Express.

“One’s feeling as a Tamil is important rather than being born as a Tamil. Gandhi. Nehru, Bose are not Tamils by birth but many Tamil people keep the names of those leaders for their children. I am considered a Keralite by many Malayalees. If you ask whether I try to become the CM of Kerala, I would say I am not interested in that”, Kamal had said further while stressing that he had been in politics since starting to vote at the age of 21.
