Rain hits few places in UP; two killed by lightning

Lightning claimed two lives in Bhadohi district of the state as light to moderate rain and thundershowers occurred at few places in the state.

Lightning claimed two lives in Bhadohi district of the state as light to moderate rain and thundershowers occurred at few places in the state.

Sunil Kumar Bind (13) and Mohammad Saif (20) were killed after being stuck by lightning in Chitapur and Medhi villages respectively of Bhadohi district, police said.

The MeT office here said south-west monsoon continued normally over the state.

Attara received 7 cm of rainfall, followed by Kanpur 6 cm, Fursatganj and Dudhi (5 cm each), Haidergarh and Chayal 4 cm each, while Baberu, Naraini, Hamirpur and Kalpi received 3 cm each.
