Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday accused Prime Minister Modi and his NDA Government of promising people packages, but ending up not giving anything.
“Wherever PM goes, he promises people of “packages”, but that is purely packaging without a package,” said Gandhi.
“Modi made a government by popular majority. But after that they forgot the poor. The Congress fought for the farmer’s land, but now Modiji wants to take their land away from them,” he added.
He also spoke of how the Congress will keep fighting for the rights of the poor and not let the BJP forget about it.
“There can be no progress without peace, and only the Congress can bring peace in Jammu and Kashmir,” he told a gathering in Baramulah.
Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day visit of the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
