A woman created a ruckus during Rahul Gandhi's 'khaat sabha' at Ambedkar Nagar in UP today after she was reportedly stopped from meeting the Congress vice-president. Police had to intervene to remove the woman from the venue. ANI reported that the woman wanted to meet the Congress vice-president to seek his help over the\u00a0inaction of the local administration in the case of alleged rape of her sister. As part of the Congress' mission Uttar Pradesh for the next year's Assembly elections, Rahul has embarked on a 2500-km 'Kisan Yatra' from Deoria in eastern Uttar Pradesh to Delhi. During the month-long yatra, Rahul is scheduled to stop at a number of locations, to address locals in 'khaat sabha'. The party has arranged the wooden cots which are carried from venue to another. In a bid to lure the farmers of the state, the Congress has promised to waive their loans if the party is voted to power. There are about 2 crore farmers in the state and their total loans would be around Rs 50,000 crore. Rahul's rally has created interest among the locals as scores of them are seen participating in the 'khaat sabha' at different locations. Congress is desperately trying to come back to power in the state after a gap of 27 years.
