Rahul Gandhi blasts PM Modi in Goa rally, says he is dividing India into the rich and the rest

Addressing a rally in Goa, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, today, made fresh attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the newly implemented demonetisation policy. Slamming the Prime Minister, the Congress vice-president claimed that in the last two and a half years, one per cent of rich people of the country had acquired 60% of India’s total economy. Rahul Gandhi further claimed that the Narendra Modi government with the implementation of the note-ban policy had divided India into the rich and the rest of the common people.

As the Modi government keep stressing on the need to curb the flow of black money in the country, through the implementation of the anti-graft police, Rahul Gandhi stated that only 6 % of the black money in in cash available in the country and also claimed that most of the black cash are either being converted to gold and real estates or transferred to foreign banks.

Claiming that the demonetisation policy had targeted the poor and the economy of the country, Rahul Gandhi stated, “All cash is not black money & all black money is not cash.”

Stating the anti-graft policy as a drama, the Congress vice-president claimed that the policy implementation is not a fight against corruption rather an attack on 99% of the honest people of the country, cash economy and weak people. Gandhi even stated the note ban policy as a marketing scheme by PM Narendra Modi .

Citing the waiving off of loans, amounting Rs 1200 crore, of liquor baron Vijay Mallya, Gandhi claimed that in the last two and a half years, the Modi government had waived off Rs 1,10,000 crore of these people.

However, Rahul Gandhi asserted that the Congress party wants to eradicate corruption and black money from the country and if the BJP government takes steps towards curbing the flow of black cash in the country, the party will entirely support the centre.
