Rahul Gandhi Berkeley speech: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani has hit back at Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s comment that the latter made while attending a programme at UC Berkeley in the US. While addressing the media in Delhi, Irani said, “To say that Congress became arrogant under Smt Gandhi and hence lost the election is a big political confession in itself.” She further added, “A failed dynast today chose to speak about his failed political journeys in USA.” Gandhi had made a number of comments against PM Modi and the situation in Kashmir and also said that the political situation in India is dynast-oriented. He invoked the names of Akhilesh Yadav, even Abhishek Bachchan, among others.

Further while discussing the statements made by Rahul Gandhi, Irani said, “The fact that Mr. Gandhi chose to belittle the PM is not surprising infact expected.” She further added, “After failing to connect with people of India Mr Gandhi chooses the platform of convenience for berating his political opponents….Fact that he (Rahul Gandhi) says that dynasts & dynasties is the very fulcrum of India in itself is an anomaly.”

Further details awaited.
