Young Marathi actor Praful Bhalerao lost his life, on Monday (January 22), in a tragic train accident. Reportedly, Praful Bhalerao, 22, died after he fell off a train near Malad railway station at 4.20 am.
Young Marathi actor Praful Bhalerao lost his life on Monday (January 22) in a tragic train accident. Reportedly, Praful Bhalerao died after he fell off a train near Malad railway station at 4.20 am. Praful Bhalerao was aged just 22. As per several media reports, Praful was leaning over the footboards and lost his grip once the train gained speed and that led to his death. Senior Police Inspector Shailendra Dhiwar said Bhalerao tried to catch a running Churchgate local, fell off the train and hit a signal pole. His body has been sent for a postmortem for further inspection.
“Around 4.15 am, Praful Bhalerao tried catching a fast train going towards Churchgate from Malad platform number 2. He was reportedly standing near the compartment’s footboard and fell off from the train and went on to hit a signal poll. Due to this he sustained a head injury,” Dhiwar told DNA. “As per Bhalerao’s father, his son worked with Just Dial in Malad and as a daily routine, after night shift his son would take a Churchgate train from Malad station for home, ” Dhiwar said, as per the report.
Reportedly, Bhalerao’s family was informed after his i-Phone was found on his body. The police have registered a case of accidental death and are further probing the matter.
Bhalerao shot to fame as a child actor on the television series Kunku. He has also acted in several Marathi shows such as Tu Majha Sangati, Nakushi and Jyotiba Phule. He had also worked in a Marathi film Barayan, which was released recently.
