Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed over 10,000 students in the world’s largest hackathon, ‘Smart India Hackathon’ via video conference. Through his words, the Prime Minister aimed to aspire more than 10,000 students who wish to be young innovators. In a series of tweets, PM Modi took to twitter and said, “#SmartIndiaHackathon2017 showcases the skills & intelligence of our Yuva Shakti. It is a great occasion for learning & discovering.” Another tweet by the PM said, “I will interact with the youngsters this evening. It will be a very refreshing & extensive exchange of ideas. #SmartIndiaHackathon2017.” As per a press release by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, the hackathon has been initiated with the aim to promote innovation and also to producing digital solutions to 598 problems.
