Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Washington DC today in the second leg of his visit. During in meeting with President Donald Trump, both leaders are expected to discuss on wide range of issues.

PM Narendra Modi US visit Live Updates: The much-awaited Modi-Trump meet is not far away as the Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the US capital Washington DC today. PM Modi landed at the Andrews Air Force base and got a warn reception from the expat Indians waving flags and the customary “Modi Modi Modi Modi” chant. He also took to Twitter to thank the US President Donald Trump for the warm welcome rendered to him, while saying that he was looking forward to discussions with the latter. During the Modi-Trump meet, a number of issues can be discussed. Both leaders are expected to focus on ongoing cooperation in areas of defence partnership and counter-terrorism in the Indo-Pacific region, apart from trade and law enforcement, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was quoted as saying by IANS. Apart from this, the H-1B visa issue could be another important topic of discussion.

02:48 am: In meeting with CEOs PM Narendra Modi spoke of recent reforms. He also noted that government has initiated around 7,000 reforms which indicate India’s quest for global benchmarks, reported ANI.

02:46 am: World is focused on India’s economy, young population and rising middle class are among factors that create interest, ANI quoted PM Narendra Modi saying in meeting with CEOs.
