Encouraging the Indian youth towards sports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with students at Reliance Foundation Youth Sports event via Video Conference.

Encouraging the Indian youth towards sports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with students at Reliance Foundation Youth Sports event via Video Conference. In his address Modi encouraged students to inculcate sports in their day-to-day life. PM said, sports must be a part of everyone’s life, it spreads positivity and team spirit.

Highlighting the importance of sports in ones life PM said, Life is incomplete without sports, it is not just important for Physical health but is important for overall development of human. For a country like India where we have almost 100 languages, 1700 dialects it is important to promote sports. Not only this if the various teams at district level keeps on playing form one end to the other it can be a great means of national integration.

According the Prime Minister Modi, sports gives us occasions to celebrate victory and also strength to accept defeat. It teaches us sportsmenship.

Sports has spread its wings to glamour too. People wants to send their kids for sports activity looking at that glamour, but glamour should not be the basis of exercising any activity. Hardwork,dedication and practice should be the main interest for learning and then glamour may follow

PM gave his unique definition of sports, S-Skill; P- Perseverance; O-optimism; R- Resilience; T-tenacity; S-Stamina. Defeat teaches you a lot. one who plays will win or lose. One who doesn’t play is in no state to win.

While congratulating Nita Ambani and Reliance Foundation Youth Sports, Modi declared the event open by saying “Come-on India, let us play”
