Parliament Budget Session Highlights: Both Houses of Parliament, the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, were adjourned till 11 AM Tuesday amid uproar by the Treasury and Opposition benches shortly after the Parliament re-convened at 2 PM today. The proceedings of both the Houses started at 11 AM on Monday after a complete washout of the first week of the second leg of the Budget Session which began on March 13. However, as ruckus continued, the Houses were adjourned till 2 PM.

On Monday, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said that the party has sought time from the Lok Sabha Speaker for Rahul Gandhi to speak in the House. He said the Congress MP will speak in the Lok Sabha tomorrow if allowed. The functioning of both houses of Parliament has been stalled over the Centre’s demand for Rahul’s apology for his remarks on democracy in the UK as well as the Opposition keeping the heat on the government, demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani-Hindenburg issue.
