Modi Hooda meeting: Bhupinder Singh Hooda's two meetings with PM Narendra Modi, that too in one week, has created a political upheaval in Congress.
Two meetings between PM Narendra Modi and Bhupinder Singh Hooda, former Haryana CM and Congress stalwart, have sent panic waves in Congress camps. According to a report in Jansatta, these meetings are nothing but a negative result of not making Bhupinder Singh Hooda the president of Congress in the state of Haryana. Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s two meetings with PM Narendra Modi, that too in one week, has created a political upheaval in Congress. The meetings lasted for only a few minutes but their political meanings are making a big impact. It’s a big signal for Congress top brass, added Jansatta.
For the past three years, Bhupinder Singh Hooda has been conveying his wish of becoming Haryana Congress chief to the party’s top brass but the party didn’t pay attention to it. Also, Hooda’s supporters had several times in the past too demanded to remove Ashok Tanwar. The matter has been pending for a long time and reportedly Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has to take a final call on it.
Hooda has good political grasp over at least 15 assembly seats in Haryana.
Noteworthy, it’s been reported that all these developments took place due to mediation by Arun Jaitley and Nitish Kumar.
Also, it’s been said that PM Narendra Modi has a good rapport with Hooda.
Out of the two meeting between the PM and former Haryana CM, one took place in Parliament.
Now, only time will tell if Hooda joins BJP and gives a big jolt to Congress.
