With tensions escalating along the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir and the Indian Army retaliating the frequent ceasefire violations by Pakistan, one terrorist was neutralised in an operation by forces. Reportedly the operation, where two soldiers were injured, was launched based on Intelligence inputs and forces had also recovered one Ak rifle and ammunition.
There had been more than 100 ceasefire violations by the neighbouring country and around 61 infiltration bids, since the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes across the LoC in Pakistan, killing at least 38 terrorists and destroying several terror launch pads. As yet, eight Indian civilians are killed in frequent cross-border firing and shelling across the border.
Yesterday, two Indian army jawans were martyred and three others injured as Pakistani troops opened fire along the LoC, in attempts to facilitate infiltration bids in Kishan Ghati and Poonch sectors in Kashmir. Retaliating the unprovoked cross-border firing by Pakistan , Indian army foiled two infiltration bids, inflicting heavy damage to several Pakistani posts along the border in Poonch districts.
