Just when the hate storm against Shah Rukh Khan showed signs of subsiding, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday stoked yet another controversy saying there was absolutely no difference between the thinking of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed and the Bollywood superstar.
“Shah Rukh Khan must remember that if the majority of this nation rejects his films then he will end up wandering on the streets like any common Muslim. Anti-national people like Khan are raising their voices and we condemn it,” BJP MP Adityanath told the media here.
Reacting to Saeed’s invitation to Shah Rukh Khan to come and live in Pakistan, the BJP MP said he welcomed the invite and hoped the actor considers it.
“I welcome the invitation. All such people should go to Pakistan where they will be shown their true position in the scheme of things. Hafiz Saeed and Shah Rukh Khan speak the same language,” Adityanath added.
His controversial comment has been one of the many that have been directed towards Shah Rukh Khan, who has been attacked by right wing groups for his comments against the rising intolerance in the country.
Senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Sadhvi Prachi had earlier lashed out at Shah Rukh Khan, accusing him of being a ‘Pakistani’ for expressing ‘anti-national’ thoughts.
