Congress Vice-President took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi by tweeting ''Modi ji quick; looks like President Trump needs another hug.''
A day after the United States President Donald Trump tweeted that he is ‘starting to develop’ better relations with Pakistan, Congress Vice-President took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi by tweeting ”Modi ji quick; looks like President Trump needs another hug.” Earlier, during Modi’s visit to America, photos of PM Modi hugging American President Donald Trump had attracted much comment. Narendra Modi was the first Prime Minister to visit the United States after Donald Trump was sworn in as the President of the United States. Now, with Donald Trump saying US is improving relations with Pakistan, Gandhi has sarcastically asked PM Modi to give another hug to US President Trump. As per a report by The Indian Express, Donald Trump’s tweet came a day after Pakistani security forces rescued an American-Canadian family from the clutches of the Haqqani terror network.

With the assembly elections, approaching in two states (Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat), BJP and Congress are leaving no opportunity to launch an attack on each other. In his recent three-day visit to Gujarat, Rahul took on PM Modi on several fronts. He said that people are taking ‘Made in China’ selfies in Modi’s administration and also called GST a ‘flawed’ one. On the other hand, BJP ministers are also active with their attacks on Rahul Gandhi. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his two-day Gujarat visit, said that Rahul’s ‘nautanki’ (gimmicks) won’t work in Gujarat.
The tussle between the two rival parties is expected to intensify as assembly election dates near.
