Even as DMK chief M Karunanidhi on Wednesday termed Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao's remarks as 'surprising' on the allocation of portfolios held by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to Finance Minister O Panneerselvam, AIADMK said nothing happens in the party without the CM's knowledge. The message about reallocating portfolios to Panneerselvam was sent to Jaya; she said \u2018yes\u2019, said AIADMK's CR Saraswathi. She also added, "Nothing happens in the AIADMK without Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's knowledge". Her remarks came on an NDTV show, where the DMK spokesperson, Manu Sundaram slammed the AIADMK saying, "Why isn't government issuing a statement regarding Jayalalithaa's heath status". Earlier today, Karunanidhi said in a statement, "The Governor's communique yesterday that this (portfolios' allocation) has been done on the advice of Chief Minister is surprising". Karunanidhi claimed that when a slew of leaders, including Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu and Stalin, visited the hospital "they were not given the opportunity to directly see her and enquire about her health".
