Though there may be some relief for the residents from August 3, the MeT department has predicted the possibility of rain and thunderstorm on the next two days also. According to the forecast, thunderstorm with rain will take place in the city from today till August 2. On August 3 and 4, sky would be partly cloudy with the possibility of rain or thunderstorm. On Friday, the maximum temperature will go up to 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be 25 degrees. The city will also receive thunderstorm and rain today.
Similar weather conditions are likely to prevail in the city till August 2. On Saturday, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees, while the minimum will be 26 degrees. Similarly, on Sunday, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees, while the minimum will be 27 degrees. For the fist four days of August, the maximum and minimum temperatures will be between 33 degrees and 27 degrees.
The rain has spelled trouble for residents as several parts of the city are logged with water and in many areas people have to wade through overflowing drain water.
Moreover, people have also been hit by heavy traffic jams in several parts of the city, especially NH 8 and Sohna Road. While Gurgaon traffic police issued an advisory asking people to avoid these roads, several office-goers today failed to reach their offices today. Some of the offices even declared holiday in the wake of heavy rain and traffic jam.
