A terrorist attack in the Nigerian city of Zaria has killed at least 25 people and injured 32 others, said the state governor.

According to BBC, the act of violence is suspected to be a suicide bomb attack that targeted civil servants at a government building in Zaria, said witnesses.

Emergency workers immediately rushed to the scene to rescue the wounded.

Militant Islamist group Boko Haram, which often targets northern Nigeria, has stepped up attacks since President Muhammudu Buhari took office in May.
