A former Tamil Nadu Minister has given a statement that can only be described as one of the most bizarre statements from any politician. DMK MLA KN Nehru said, “If we were unable to get exemption in NEET, we would certainly allow cheating for students if we were in power.” Nehru asked, “You allow copying in Bihar, MP and it’s all done openly. Why?” Further, he asked, “For how long will Tamilians remain honest?”

KN Nehru, along with many leaders from the opposition were seen protesting and seeking President’s assent over Tamil Nadu Bill seeking an exemption for the State from the NEET exam.

Meanwhile, CBSE has released the exam dates for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) undergraduate examination at Students who are preparing for the examinations can visit the official website of NEET UG to know more about the registration process, application form and exam dates. As per the latest update, ‘the Syllabus of NEET(UG), 2018 will be exactly same as it was for NEET(UG), 2017. There is no change in the syllabus for NEET(UG), 2018.’ This information was provided on the official website.

While filling NEET application form, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender and hereby give their consent to CBSE to validate the information provided by them with the UIDAI’s database.

NEET UG 2018 Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility criteria for the NEET is that you have to be Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRI’s), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) & Foreign Nationals. It shall be noted that the candidate has to be the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2017 i.e. the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Course. However, it should be noted that the upper age limit for candidates seeking admission in MBBS/BDS seats has to be 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category.
