BJP-ruled North Delhi Municipal Corporation has dubbed AAP government’s pension scheme as a “political stunt”, charging that the NDMC councillors were given only one day to recommend names of beneficiaries. “Delhi government’s circular, dated February 21, has asked for recommendation of names of beneficiaries under the scheme till 3 PM on February 23. It has not specified the number of recommendations a ward councillor can make and it appears to be a “political stunt,” standing committee of NDMC said in its resolution passed today.
