President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Capt. Amarinder Singh spoke to the media today. On the issue of Arvind Kejrwal’s video where he was seen as saying PM Narendra Modi may get him killed Singh said, “Nobody is interested in killing anybody, these are unnecessary statements.” Arvind Kejriwal had taken many digs at the Prime Minister, in a video, accusing the BJP goverment of oppressing the opposition. Kejriwal’s statements came after a series of raids and arrests of AAP MLAs, while AAP accused the BJP of taking reckless decisions based on anger and jealousy as Delhi has an efficient administration according to the party. BJP leaders came out against the statements and doubted Kejriwal’s frame of mind.

Singh, Deputy leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, on the speculations that Navjot Singh Sidhu will likely be a ‘star campaigner’ for Aam Aadmi Party, Amrinder Singh said, “From being RS MP of a national party he is now settling to be campaigner for AAP. Its a step down.” Sources in AAP said Sidhu will formally join the party sometime in the second week of next month.A few days ago, Singh had invited all senior party leaders over for lunch at his house to discuss with different committees about the manifesto. Amarinder Singh is famous for having defeated the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, for the Lok Sabha elections.
