PM Narendra Modi who is on a two-day visit to Varanasi inaugurated the 'Pashu Arogya Mela' in Shahanshahpur. Modi also addressed a large gathering of farmers after the inauguration.
PM Narendra Modi who is on a two-day visit to Varanasi inaugurated the ‘Pashu Arogya Mela’ in Shahanshahpur. Modi also addressed a large gathering of farmers after the inauguration. During the event Modi praised the Uttar Pradesh government and in UP CM Yogi Adityanath for organising the Mela. He said,”I want to compliment Uttar Pradesh Government & especially CM Adityanath for organizing the Pashudhan Arogya Mela.” He added that the focus on animal health is commendable. This focus will benefit the farmers across the state. The Prime Minister added, “For us, governance is not about politics or winning elections. The priority is the wellbeing of the nation.”
PM Modi while addressing the gathering said that the country is bigger than the party. While talking about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan the Prime Minister said,”‘Swachhta’ has to become ‘Swabhav’,its our collective responsibility. A clean India also means a healthier India.” He added, “Swachhata is a Puja for me. Cleanliness is a way to serve the poor of India.” Recalling the dreams of the Freedom heroes, the PM said, “Let us make these five years about creating the India our freedom fighters dreamt about.” Modi also expressed his joy to see toilets in rural areas. He said,”I was happy to see that a lot of toilets have already been constructed in rural areas.” He added, “I had the opportunity to help in toilet construction at a village nearby. The people of the village have decided to make the village ODF.”
Meanwhile, PM Modi also distributed Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana certificates to the beneficiaries. Earlier, on day 1 of his visit, he had inaugurated 17 infra projects worth over Rs 1000 cr including the Ramnagar-Samne Ghat bridge and the Balua Ghat bridge. PM also flagged off the third Mahamana Express train between Varanasi and Vadodara.
