Narendra Modi in Madhya Pradesh Live Updates: PM Narendra Modi will be addressing the top police officials today at a two-day annual conference Border Security Force (BSF) Academy at Madhya Pradesh’s Tekanpur. PM Modi has reached Gwalior today morning where he was welcomed by CM Shivraj Chouhan. He will attend the annual conference of DGPs and IGPs at the BSF Academy. PM had addressed the conference earlier in Guwahati, Assam in 2014, Dhordo, Rann of Kutch, Gujarat in 2015 and National Police Academy, Hyderabad in 2016. The Annual DGP Conference is being held outside the national capital since PM is of the opinion that such conferences should be held across the country, and not just confined to Delhi. An official statement on Saturday said that the conference will be attended by Director General of Police (DGP) and Inspector General of Police (IGP).

10.50 am: Holding the conference outside the national capital is in line with the Narendra Modi’s vision that such conferences should be held across the country, and not just be confined to Delhi.

10.40 am: During the last meeting, the Prime Minister discussed issues such as cross-border terrorism and radicalization in detail. Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of leadership, soft skills and collective training. He specifically mentioned the importance of technology and human interface for the police force.

10.30 am: Meanwhile, on January 6, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh released “Ranking of Police Stations for the Year 2017” publication, during the inauguration of three-day All-India Conference of Director Generals / Inspector Generals of Police, 2017, at the BSF Academy, in Tekanpur near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

10.25 am: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Tekanpur near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh yesterday, ahead of the two-day annual conference.

10.20 am: PM Modi had earlier addressed the conference in Guwahati in 2014, in Dhordo in Gujarat’s Rann of Kutch in 2015 and at the National Police Academy in Hyderabad in 2016.

10.15 am: Top police officials from all over India will attend the two-day conference. Important security issues will be discussed at the conference.

10.05 am: PM Modi will attend the annual conference of DGPs and IGPs at the BSF Academy at Tekanpur in Madhya Pradesh.
