PM Narendra Modi today said that not passing GST bill is injustice to the poor and some states in particular and those in the Rajya Sabha should understand this.
In an exclusive interview to Times Now, PM Modi said, “People view GST from the purview of economic reform, due to which the right information doesnt come across.”
He said that if the GST bill is passed, it would help the poor in the states like UP, Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa etc. He said that the Chief Ministers agree with the GST, but there is just one party[Congress], which is opposing the bill, eventually harming the nation.
“Rajya Sabha should understand that CAMPA fund has as much as Rs 40,000 crore, to provide to the poor.” said Modi.
He added that if before the monsoons the bill would have passed it would have benefitted a lot of poor in the country.
