Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will participate in ‘INNOPROM 2016’, an international industrial exhibition, to be held in Russia from July 11 to promote investments in the state.
He will also visit Astana, the newly-constructed capital of Kazakhstan, to study the best practices for the construction of AP’s permanent capital Amaravati, coming up near Vijayawada.
“He (Naidu) will participate in ‘INNOPROM 2016’ which one part of the tour to Russia. We are also visiting Kazakhstan in order to see their newly-constructed capital Astana,” Parakala Prabhakar, Advisor (Communications) to the state government, told reporters here today.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up our Chief Minister after his return from Kazakhstan last year and said that Astana is very beautiful, newly-constructed capital with all the modern facilities. So we must go and take the best practices from there,” he said.
India is a partner country for ‘INNOPROM 2016’ and Naidu’s counterparts Devendra Fadnavis from Maharashtra and Vasundhara Raje from Rajasthan are also attending the four-day event.
Delegations from other states, including Gujarat and Jharkhand, would also participate in the event.
Prabhakar said Naidu’s agenda includes addressing the session on the theme Industrial Net (how internet, Internet of Things and modern technology is used in production of industrial goods and agriculture), showcasing the opportunities in AP and the resources in the state and meeting prominent government leaders of Russia.
A number of bilateral meetings with business leaders coming from different parts of the world have been scheduled, Prabhakar added.
Representatives from about 75 countries are participating in the INNOPROM event.
He said business leaders of international companies already operating in Russia have also sought appointments with the CM.
Andhra Pradesh has a special pavilion in ‘INNOPROM 2016’, said Prabhakar, who is part of Naidu’s delegation.
